Ute Resource Guide available
Nuu~ciu Strong is a resource guide for fourth grade teachers to use to support teaching the history, culture and present lives of the Ute People. It was developed in collaboration with Colorado's Ute Tribes and the Colorado Commission on Indian Affairs, among others.

READ Act toolkit available for Family Literacy Month
November is Family Literacy Month and CDE has developed a toolkit of resources for district leaders, principals and teachers to help them communicate about the importance of early literacy and the Colorado READ Act.

English learner training requirement for teachers
New State Board rules require elementary, math, science, social studies and English language arts teachers to complete Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education training within their next five-year license renewal cycle.
