Stories of Promising Practice: Prairie School District
Prairie School District, an area where beef cattle production ranches dominate the economy, offers a popular bovine reproduction class. The class helps teach children of ranch owners a necessary science and also is a pathway into careers in animal science and other biology.

Education commissioner assigns district ratings
Commissioner Anthes presented to the State Board of Education final accountability ratings for the state’s 178 school districts and BOCES, including four districts that improved enough to move off the state’s accountability clock.

2018 Colorado Teacher of the Year announced
Christina Randle, a first-grade teacher at Soaring Eagles Elementary School in Harrison School District No. 2, is the 2018 Colorado Teacher of the Year.
