The Colorado State Board of Education has approved all PLACE assessments, a number of PRAXIS II assessments and one NES assessment for the demonstration of content knowledge and skill. PLACE was designed and developed specifically for Colorado, whereas PRAXIS II and NES are nationwide exams.
Colorado recognizes the PRAXIS II exams indicated in the following content areas: Audiology (0342 or 5342) Chinese (Mandarin) (5665), Elementary Education (5018), English Language Arts (5038), Mathematics (5161), School Pyschologist (5402), General Science (0435 or 5435), Social Studies (0081 or 5081), and Speech-Language Pathology (5331).
Colorado recognizes the NES exam in the content area of Mandarin (Chinese) (404).
Please check that the test for which you are registering is approved by the State of Colorado and accepted for the endorsement that you are seeking.
Please Note: The Colorado Department of Education does not provide score information or reports for current or previously taken PLACE, NES or PRAXIS II exams. Applicants need to contact their prospective exam provider directly to receive these reports and upload them into their application.
