Professional Associations

 

Professional associations may provide grant funding to members and organizations that have a compatible mission with the association. Look into state, regional and national library associations including divisions, interest groups, round tables, chapters, and foundations.  The American Library Association (ALA) offers a multitude of grants, awards, scholarships, and fellowship opportunities.  

The following divisions of ALA may have grant funding available:

• Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL)
• Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS)
• Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC)
• Association of Specialized, Government and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASGCLA)
• Library and Information Technology Association (LITA)
• Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA)
• Public Library Association (PLA)
• Reference and User Services Association (RUSA)
• United for Libraries
• Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA)
