Northeast BOCES

Program Description

Northeast Colorado BOCES is located in Haxtun, Colorado, in the far northeast corner of the state.  NE BOCES has twelve member districts: Akron, Fleming, Haxtun, Holyoke, Julesburg, Lone Star, Merino, Otis, Peetz, Platte Valley, Wray and Yuma.  This four-day course will provide a foundation for the supervision and evaluation of Colorado teachers.  Days one and two will have a focus on the theory and research behind effective leadership and instructional coaching.  This will also include effective supervision instruction.  It will meet “Requirement 1” for evaluators in the state of Colorado.  Days three and four will meet “Requirement 2” by introducing the Educator Effectiveness system and tools.  Practice is embedded into this portion of the course.  See the NE BOCES website at neboces.org for dates of the course.
