Annual Inspection Guide - School Transportation Technician

The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) School Transportation Unit has promulgated this resource guide to assist public school districts as well as Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) with developing policies and procedures for the safe transportation of students. These guidelines provide manufacturer recommendations, industry standards and best practices which are consistent with the Colorado Minimum Standards Governing School Transportation Vehicles, 1 CCR 301-25 and the Colorado Rules for the Operation, Maintenance and Inspection of School Transportation Vehicles 1 CCR 301-26. This publication is intended to serve as a transportation provider resource toward compliance with legislation and regulations. Link to Guide.

Annual Inspection Map

The linked Map and District Contact Information for Annual Inspectors, Annual Inspector Hands on Testers, and Outside Inspection Sites has been designed to provide district transportation operations an easy way to obtain assistance near their location. The map will simplify the process of locating a district, person, or site needed for certification, annual inspection or other assistance that they may need pertaining to annual inspections. To access the map select the hyperlink above.

Any input that districts may provide to improve the accuracy of this map would be greatly appreciated. Information can be sent to Brian Vasina at vasina_b@cde.state.co.us
