AP/IB Exam Fee Program

The PWR of the AP/IB Exam Fee Program

Colorado's AP/IB Exam Fee Program is pursuant to HB19-1222 to increase the number of students who take Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) exams. It provides funding to high schools to cover some or all of the exam fees for eligible students*.

_{*"Eligible student” means a student enrolled in a high school who is a low-income individual, as defined in 20 U.S.C. sec. 9832(3) and who is planning to take one or more advanced placement exams."}

2023-24 Funding and Participation

• For the 2023-24 school year, 33 districts and 41 schools participated in the Accelerated College Opportunity Exam Fee Program.

• For the 2023-24 school year, eligible students* took 8,040 AP exams and 1,267 IB exams. A  total of  $525,495.82 was awarded for the 2023-24 AP/IB program.
