About the Proposed Package
EDFacts collects data on behalf of U.S. Department of Education grant and program offices. The proposed package includes pre-kindergarten through grade 12 performance data about students, schools, staff, services and educational outcomes at the state, district, and school levels.
Approximately 180 data groups are included in the proposed package and respondents include all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, outlying areas and freely associated states, the Department of Defense Education Activity and the Bureau of Indian Education.
The proposed package includes new data requirements, changes to existing collections and deletions. A new attachment in the 30 day package is Attachment F, which includes a summary of all comments received and the U.S. Department of Education's response to comments. The full package includes two supporting statements and nine attachments; changes from the existing EDFacts package (1875-0240) are detailed in “Attachment C Changes.”
Please note that the U.S. Department of Education is asking reviewers to respond to specific questions in “Attachment D Directed Questions.”
