VI. Attendance
Per the Data Assurances, attendance must be reported in LACES as “instructional hours” no later than 1 week after instruction takes place. Instructions for reporting attendance in LACES can be found on page 97 of the LACES Beginner User Manual. Required attendance reporting fields include:
- Date – Enter the date on which the instruction was delivered. Note: The system does not allow grantees to report attendance on future dates in the program year.
- Instructional Hours Type – Hours must be recorded in a subject area (Instruction - ESL, Instruction - Language Arts, Instruction - Math, Instruction - Distance – ESL, Instruction - Distance – English Language Arts, Instruction - Distance – Math, Instruction - Assessment).
- Number of Hours – Hours must be reported increments of no less than 15 minutes. Batch attendance, attendance from multiple days/classes, may not be reported unless specific approval has been given to the program for reporting Learner Mastery Model distance learning hours.
