Join the CDE Advancing Equity in Special Education Identification Webinar Series!

Throughout the interdisciplinary series, we will cover foundational strategies to support equitable special education evaluation practices. These topics are crucial for ensuring thorough evaluations, appropriate education identification, addressing cultural and linguistic considerations, utilizing alternative assessment methods, and effectively communicating assessment findings.

This series is built as an interdisciplinary model to promote a culturally and linguistically responsive comprehensive evaluation process. The webinar series is based on data and feedback obtained from Colorado districts pertaining to topics within special education identification where opportunities for growth can occur across our state. The series will be collaboratively conducted by multiple CDE staff members and a consultant from various disciplines.

We recommend this webinar series for various professionals, including special service providers, leaders who support evaluation and intervention processes, coordinators/directors, members of evaluation teams, intervention professionals, cultural liaisons, family-engagement specialists, and any other Colorado public educators involved in supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
