Join the Standards and Instructional Support team from CDE for the third and final session of the Best, First Instruction series. The topical focus of this webinar is Disciplinary Literacy. Disciplinary literacy is the fundamental element found in all disciplines of the Colorado Academic Standards. As such, understanding disciplinary literacy is critical to standards implementation and the transformation of teaching and learning as the standards intend. In this session, we will define disciplinary literacy; examine the importance of disciplinary literacy; and, discuss ways to incorporate disciplinary literacy strategies across content areas.
