About Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction (2905)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction

2025-2026

Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction provides a classical, content-rich education in the liberal arts and sciences, with explicit instruction in moral character and civic virtue within an orderly and disciplined environment. Opening with grades K?10 in the 2025?26 school year and adding a grade each year until K?12 is served, the school is committed to developing students who pursue truth, goodness, and beauty while cultivating the habits that prepare them for independent, responsible, and… joyful lives. Central to this mission is the intentional cultivation of seven core virtues: Courage, Moderation, Justice, Responsibility, Prudence, Friendship, and Wonder. These virtues are embedded into daily life, shaping both the habits and affections of students. From practicing perseverance on difficult assignments, to demonstrating patience in civil discourse, to honoring greatness found in literature and history, students are encouraged to act nobly and think seriously. Virtue at Ascent is not incidental but essential?rooted in the belief that happiness and a flourishing republic depend on citizens who actively cultivate character. The Academy is structured in two divisions. In the Grammar School (K?6), young scholars build foundational knowledge, good habits, and delight in the world around them. In the Upper School (7?12), students engage in a rigorous sequence of studies in literature, mathematics, history, civics, science, music, and art, preparing them to thrive in college, career, and life. Guided by the vision to develop moral and intellectual excellence, Ascent Classical Academy of Grand Junction prepares students to live enriched, purposeful lives and to contribute meaningfully to a free and flourishing republic.
