About Beaver Valley Elementary School (1438)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Beaver Valley Elementary School

2025-2026

B eaver Valley is a 3-5 elementary school. We began the 24-25 school year with 317 students and ended it with 275 students. In 23-24 64.8% of the students qualified for free and reduced lunch, and in 24-25 it was 100.0% that qualified. Over the past four years our mobility rate has been, 11.3% (21-22), 5.78% (22-23), and 10.5% (23-24), and 9.2% (24-25). During the 22-23 school year 52.6% of our students were minority students and 15.6% of our students were English Language Learners. This is only… slightly different than the 23-24 school year where 53.9% of our students were minority students and 15.7% of our students were English Language Learners.During the 24-25 school year 57.1% of our students were minority students and 13.1% of our students were English Language Learners. We are not a very diverse population, with 52.7% Hispanic students, 42.9% white, 1.8% Multi-Race, 1.1% Pacific Islanders, 1.1% Black, and 0.4% Native American. We have a SPED population of 9.5%. We are at 52.7% female students and 47.3% male students. These numbers are typical for the last several years. ? Our district's 2025-2026 primary focus centers on three key areas: developing rigorous curriculum units and assessments that are both aligned to state standards and vertically coordinated across grade levels to ensure seamless learning progression; implementing evidence-based strategies in the general education classroom for multilingual learners (MLs) and students on individualized education plans (IEPs); and establishing consistent, aligned attendance policies and practices that promote regular school engagement. Through these focused initiatives, we are creating an inclusive learning environment where all students, regardless of their background or learning needs, can achieve their full potential while being supported by educators who understand the unique strengths and challenges of our rural community.
