Semper Elementary is located in Westminster, Colorado and is identified as a Title 1 school where 55% of our population qualifies for free or reduced lunch. Semper is also an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school (IBPYP). Semper is part of the Standley Lake articulation area in Jeffco Public Schools. er, we serve a diverse population which includes multilingual learners as well as a center based Affective Needs program where 1 classroom supports grade K-2 students and 1 classroom supports grades 3-5 students. Semper also has four preschool classrooms (2 full day and 2 half day) with a total of 81 students. As an IB PYP school, our curriculum framework focus is divided into three areas: 1) The Learner 2) The Learning Community and 3)Teaching and Learning with student agency at the center. Student Agency is defined as ensuring that students have voice, choice and ownership in their learning. To ensure a strong partnership with our Learning Community, Semper has a designated Family Engagement Liaison who works to educate our staff and support partnerships with our families. Semper also continues to enhance opportunities to increase parent engagement through PTA, and School Accountability Committee (SAC).
