Lukas Elementary, home of the Skywalkers, is the heart of the Standley Lake community. We offer a comprehensive K-5 program, including a specialized Autism Center Program.  We b elieve a balanced approach to early learning and a focus on the development of the whole child - socially, emotionally, and academically - sets a strong foundation for our students. Lukas is a 1:1 device school and all students have access to a blend of digital and hands-on learning regularly. We have innovative science …
programs, such as Generation Genius and Mystery Science, which allow students to engage in real-world science learning. Lukas is also home to R.O.C.K.E.T. Days, which are designed to further STEAM education and provide regular opportunities to create, collaborate, and persevere through complex tasks. We differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners and have a dedicated block of time (WIN: What I Need) daily to support students with advanced learning plans, individualized education plans, those who need a boost in math or reading, and enrichment for those who are right on track. Additionally, we have many opportunities for family and community involvement, including an active PTA and School Accountability Committee as well as many parent volunteers who support the day-to-day functioning of our school. The Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) was synthesized by the principal after meetings, discussions, and data analysis with a variety of stakeholder groups. Families, teachers and staff, and district leadership were involved in conversations that supported the development of this year's UIP. We analyzed 2024 and 2025 CMAS growth and achievement results for grades 3-5 and the School Performance Framework (SPF). We also analyzed DIBELS 8 performance data and trends for grades K-3.
