Fremont Elementary School is a small, K-5 school located in Jefferson County Public Schools. Serving approximately 260 students, Fremont offers full-day kindergarten and a specialized program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who have severe language and behavioral needs. The school staff includes 25 licensed and 22 classified personnel. ng its commitment to providing a welcoming and supportive learning environment. This influx of students has contributed to a demographic shift that mirrors district-wide trends. At Fremont, the percentage of students on IEPs has increased from 15% to over 20% in just one year. The school's English Language Learner population has also grown, reaching just below 10%. While the number of students with disabilities outside of the ASD Center Program has remained relatively stable at around 12%, the percentage of students qualifying for Free or Reduced Lunch has increased to approximately 50% over the past few years.
