Blue Heron Elementary was founded in 2002. It provides a comprehensive pre-kindergarten to fifth-grade education. Our mission is to educate and empower all Blue Heron students by creating opportunities and experiences that build their knowledge to help students become successful, contributing citizens in a global society. We are committed to providing the academic, social and emotional education students need to succeed as critical thinkers and problem solvers. This is accomplished by promoting …
an organizational climate that focuses on continuous learning and improvement and cultivates a school culture that is safe, welcoming and inclusive of all students, staff and families. Blue Heron has a rigorous academic program complemented by opportunities in art, music, physical education and character-education programs, which support the healthy growth and development of the ?whole student.? Blue Heron?s student population reflects a unique diversity and blend of student demographics in Jeffco. The school also houses an Autism Spectrum Disorder Center.
