Arvada K-8 is a neighborhood school that currently serves 554 students grades kindergarten through 8th grade. Our enrollment is consistent with our October 1 count of 554 the previous year. Our Free and Reduced lunch rate in 2022-2023 was 83% and it is 86% for the 2023- 2024 school year. ucation 18% Gifted and Talented 1% Arvada K-8 relies heavily on the voice of stakeholders to guide purpose and direction. For the 2023-2024 School Year, the ALT (Academic Leadership Team), the OLT (Operational Leadership Team) and School Accountability Committee continue to focus on Data Informed Instructional (DII) practices as the drivers for all Professional Development, including Practice Clinics, Observations and Coaching Cycles, and Data Meetings. Literacy in K-3, 5th and 8th Grade Math are the anchors for our Major Improvement Strategies focused on Instruction. The School Accountability Committee was briefed on the 2022-2023 CMAS Achievement and Growth data, as well as the Major Improvement Strategies developed in response to this data. The SAC had the opportunity to comment, and during the September 2023 SAC Meeting, have an opportunity to discuss next steps.
