Falcon High School is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Downtown Colorado Springs. The school is part of School District 49. FHS currently has an approximate population of 1159 students in grades nine through twelve and 29 in grade thirteen. The current high school facility was built in 2007. Falcon High School is a comprehensive public institution that has recently refocused on enhancing the rigor of college preparatory curriculum offered to students. Falcon utilizes an 8-period alter…
nating block schedule within a two-semester system. The curriculum at Falcon High School is comprehensive in nature and designed to fit all learning styles and needs. The rigor of the curriculum is set to facilitate learning for all students ranging from remedial to Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment. Dual credit classes are offered at Falcon High School through the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and Concurrent Enrollment classes are offered through Pikes Peak State College. Career Start is a vocational program offered in collaboration with Pikes Peak State College for students who qualify. The program offers concurrent enrollment credit and/or hours toward certification in specific vocational fields.
