Our distinguished faculty and engaged student body fully embody and embrace the school vision, ''Empowering Grizzlies by fostering curiosity, compassion, courage, community, and service.'' 75% of the faculty have advanced degrees, and after a period of staff turnover reaching as high as 75%, the past few years the staff stability has returned, which for years had been an indicator of the positive climate and culture of the school. Programmatically, ThunderRidge High School offers a variety of academic opportunities, such as the International Baccalaureate Programme (Diploma and Middle Years Programme), Advanced Placement, Science-Technology-Engineering-Arts-Math (STEAM) Pathways, CTE Pathways, and a Pro-Start Business Program, all of which enhance student choice as they prepare to pursue entry options into the post-secondary world. From a parent?s perspective, ''ThunderRidge offers a rich high school experience. We chose ThunderRidge for its academic rigor and focus on 21st century learning, specifically the prestigious International Baccalaureate Programme, but were pleasantly surprised to also discover a strong culture of community and tradition, which permeates throughout the building. My son and daughter have flourished under the caring, professional corps of educators and have further enriched their experience through the superb athletic and music programs offered at ThunderRidge.'' - Parent. A core group of teacher leaders, SAC parents, and administrators, met at ThunderRidge High School to review the Unified Improvement Plan and to analyze PSAT and SAT data on the SPF, AP and IB data, TLCC survey data, IMTSS data, as well as graduation rates in an effort to identify academic and growth gaps, determine the root causes of identified gaps, and provide recommendations for a plan of action that will be implemented throughout the upcoming school years. Once recommendations were finalized, the Principal and UIP Development Team solidified strategies of implementation, and will seek feedback from the School Accountability Committee and School Department Chair Leaders.
