About Mammoth Heights Elementary (2952)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Mammoth Heights Elementary

2024-2025

Mammoth Heights Elementary is a K-6 Elementary school that houses approximately 550 students along with a two preschool sections that support approximately 30 students through the district?s Early Childhood Programming. When the school was established in 2006, the vision of Dream, Strive, and Become was developed. This vision is the core of Mammoth Heights and continues to drive our educational values for all students. Decision-making at the school site is focused on providing all students the o… pportunity to Dream, Strive, and Become with all learning experiences. Our school?s mission statement: We will cherish and nurture the unique qualities of all children. Foster compassion and respect. Inspire children to dream of the possible and strive for the extraordinary by forming a partnership among students, parents, staff, and community. As a neighborhood public school, our focus is on our students and community. The school communicates regularly with our stakeholders through weekly newsletters, our own YouTube channel, Facebook, and Instagram to celebrate our achievements and activities. We continue to move Mammoth Heights forward as a 21st century school while developing world-class education experiences. We foster and embed professional development with our staff around purposeful planning around or Ready Math and Benchmark Advanced programs. We continue to track and monitor the number of parent excusals that are impacting our test participation. We provide information about the uses of state assessments to our parents. During the last three years, the school goals were to develop alignment across grade levels (K-6) with writing instruction. Mammoth Heights focused on consistently implementing learning targets from Thinking Maps, Write from the Beginning, use of common language for pre-writing strategies, and clarifying instructional models. With the support of our District, we have implemented a new writing program: ThinkSRSD for the 2024-25 school year. The current performance section outlines the academic growth achieved from our students. The process of developing our UIP for 2024-25 consisted of analyzing our school data with a core team incorporating Administration, Intervention Specialists and community representatives for the school. The plan was presented to the leadership committee for feedback. The leadership committee is comprised of one teacher leader from each grade level or department. The team identified strengths and next steps based on academic achievement and academic growth.
