About Pioneer Bilingual Elementary School (6962)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Pioneer Bilingual Elementary School

2024-2025

Escuela Bilingüe Pioneer is a two-way 90/10 dual immersion focus school in Lafayette, Colorado. Our vision states Escuela Bilingüe Pioneer is a culturally rich, inclusive school community celebrating bilingual and biliterate learners. We strive to provide engaging and innovative experiential learning opportunities that will prepare all individuals to, confidently and proudly, contribute to our increasingly complex world. To realize this vision we endeavor to maintain linguistic, cultural and soc… io-economic diversity as our students meet or exceed Colorado Academic Standards and Boulder Valley School District expectations in two languages. Our school serves 488 students (October 2023) whose families have chosen to educate their children bilingually. As a learning community, we strive to significantly reduce the achievement gap between our Latinx and white students. Our focus goals, based on multiple internal and external sources of data, will be to continue to monitor the biliteracy and math trajectories for students coming from households where Spanish is the primary or heritage language. During the 2023-24 school year, EBP's staff took tremendous strides towards adopting data-driven instructional practices and aligning the instructional model designed to best meet the educational needs of our students. As a learning community we are fully committed to meeting the social and emotional needs of our students. As a result, our third goal is to implement fully, and with fidelity, Conscious Discipline as a means to teach all our students to teach students to recognize their brain state so that they can respond consciously to their needs by choosing from a set of strategies taught and practiced. As a learning community, we will also strive to continue to become increasingly responsive to the academic, social/emotional and the cultural needs of our diverse members through Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). We are confident that with adequate support, we will achieve and surpass our highest aspirations. Pioneer is a school where all its members are committed to continuous improvement!
