About Timberline PK-8 (6010)

A MESSAGE FROM:

Timberline PK-8

2025-2026

Timberline PK-8 is a Title 1 School serving preschool through eighth grade students. TPK-8 is located in Longmont, Colorado and is a part of the St. Vrain Valley School District. We are a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) focus school and offer biliteracy instruction from kindergarten through third grade. In the 2024-2025 school year, Timberline saw a slight increase in student population. Our student population mirrors our ethnically diverse community where in 2024-2025, 88.7 percent o… f our students identified as minority and 64.6 percent were multilingual learners (MLs). 15 percent of our students had an IEP while 1.9 percent were identified as gifted. One challenge for our community is our free and reduced lunch rate which was 83.8 percent in 2024-2025. An additional challenge during this school year was our attendance rate, which finished at 91.2% (a slight improvement from 2023-2024). Timberline was able to move from a Priority Performance Rating on the 2022-2023 School Performance Framework (38.1% of points in 2023) to an Improvement Rating for the 2023-2024 School Performance Framework (50.4% of points in 2024). We earned an Improvement Rating again in 2024-2025 on our School Performance Framework, but our percentage of points was lower than the year previous (47.4% of points in 2025). Timberline PK-8 provides dedicated STEM programming for all students from preschool through eighth grade within the school day. In addition, we partner with the University of Colorado, Boulder and the Thorne Nature Center to offer extra-curricular programming in both STEM and science. To provide further opportunity and support our students; successful transition to high school and beyond, Timberline offers the Pathway to FalconTech, a series of courses offered to our sixth through eighth grade students preparing them for entrance into the P-Tech program offered in several of our SVVS High Schools. TPK-8 courses support algebra, computer science and workforce readiness skills as well as specialized coursework in U.S. History to prepare them for the college level course required as a part of the P-Tech program in high school. In seventh and eighth grade, students join our Pathway to FalconTech cohort supported by a team of staff who provide additional academic and social emotional support as well as enrichment activities. Timberline offers another series of courses supporting students in building the skills needed to earn the Seal of Biliteracy in high school. Our coursework, currently offered in fourth through eighth grade, strengthens students? academic skills in reading, writing, and speaking in both English and Spanish and prepares students for success in the rigorous high school courses required to earn the Seal of Biliteracy. All building staff participated in the UIP process beginning in the spring of 2025 and continuing in the fall of 2025. Our staff met consistently as a whole, and in grade level and content teams to analyze district and state data throughout the spring and fall of 2025. Utilizing the results of our data analysis, our Instructional Leadership Team built professional development sessions in which staff helped to identify our priority performance challenges and ideated major improvement strategies to address these priority performance challenges. This past year and extending into this fall, we have been better able to engage families in their children?s learning and to involve them in the UIP process. During our summer 2025 programming, families attended multiple events with their children to learn new ways to support literacy and math at home. Our Back to School Night provides sessions for families to gain an overall understanding of the goals of our school as well as the learning processes unique to their child?s classroom. Attendance at these events has been outstanding with the majority of families of both elementary and middle school age children participating. In the fall of 2025, the Timberline staff reviewed the current performance and growth data of our school and further developed improvement strategies. The Timberline staff also learned that our school has exited the accountability clock based on earning an Improvement Rating on the School Performance Framework for two consecutive years.
