Coyote Hills has 478 students. We sit on the south side of Aurora Colorado and have been a traditionally high-performing school. Our demographic consists of 53% white, 19% Hispanic, 10% multirace, 8% black, and 8% Asian. Much of our Asian population is made up of Indian families. Our Free and Reduced lunch rate is 22% which has increased over the past 6 years from 9%. Data collected for the UIP came from a variety of resources that include; CMAS, STAR reading and math, Behavior trackers, HMH ass…
essments. In the spring of 2023 and fall of 2024, a full data review was done by the staff to prioritize challenges and then brought to teacher leaders to start the work and focus of the UIP. The UIP was written by Principal Hillary Pohlmann with support from the Guiding Coalition, a group made up of teacher leaders in the school. The UIP was also reviewed by our PASS, a committee of parents of color, and our SAC an accountability committee comprised of parents and community members.
