Antelope Ridge is a high-achieving, rigorous neighborhood school with 566 K-5 students. The chart below breaks down demographics: Our staff is made up of highly qualified educators, some of which hold Master's degree in education. Teachers in our building have a high commitment to our school's mission and vision, which results in a low attrition rate. Our school offers full day Kindergarten along with a wide variety of enrichment activities before and after school. Many teachers dedicate their … time outside of school hours supporting students academically and socially/emotionally. Antelope Ridge feeds into Thunder Ridge Middle School and Eaglecrest High School. Our current population has 28% Free and Reduced Lunch. Our community is highly involved and parents support our school both inside and outside the classroom. We pride ourselves on partnering with the community and host several family events throughout the school year. Antelope Ridge Elementary engages in the Professional Learning Community (PLC) practice as the structure for all academic backwards planning. Teachers and administration are invested in the PLC process and utilize best practices to ensure the most meaningful and adaptive instruction which is delivered to students in all content areas. Teachers prioritize essential learning, unpack standards and create meaningful assessments to deliver and monitor student growth. There is shared ownership of students amongst grade level teachers and vertical teams. Students demonstrate high behavior expectations throughout the school as Honor Effort Respect and Dedication are emphasized. Systemic restorative practices create a positive learning environment, which is an apparent priority in the school community. Teachers provide a diverse learning environment to include problem based learning and authentic tasks designed to: engage students, encourage critical thinking, and build student collaboration. Teachers intentionally make connections across all curricular contents by encouraging academic conversations. Beginning in kindergarten, teachers foster and model goal setting and reflection, which encourages a growth mindset. Students use teacher feedback to track their progress on goals throughout the year. The entire school staff is invested in every child. Antelope Ridge fosters success for all students both academically and behaviorally. The rigor of learning at Antelope Ridge Elementary grows student learning capacity and prepares every individual for a successful future.
