Planning for the 2020-21 School Year: A Framework and Toolkit for School and District Leaders
Updated Guidance for the 2021-22 School Year Coming Soon
CDE and CDPHE, using new guidance recently published by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, are working to provide update resources for schools and districts to use as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
The toolkit is anticipated to be ready in early August.
For now, please find the resources from last year for review purposes.
The content areas below will give you a sense of the areas in which we will be providing guidance. More detailed guidance will be added over time.
As the situation evolves, we will continue to gather feedback, add resources, and expand on these considerations to help you think through these complicated times.
CDE invites your feedback and ideas for this framework and toolkit:
CDPHE, CDE and the Governor’s Office worked together to develop this guidance for local public health agencies and school districts as they develop school plans.
CDPHE updated its guidance on April 29 for detecting, reporting and responding to cases and outbreaks of COVID-19 in schools and child care settings.
This toolkit is continually updated. In each new update, this area will note key additions or changes since the prior version.
