There are many ways to get involved as a mathematics educator in Colorado, including a listserv, several organizations for teachers and supervisors of mathematics, and events you can attend.


Colorado Events

Although the world is rebounding from COVID-19, circumstances of individual events are still shifting and you are urged to stay alert with news from each organization or provider to get up-to-date details before registering or attending.

CCTM Events

The CCTM Annual Conference returning in 2021 as a virtual event from September 29 to October 2. Details and registration will come out over the summer of 2021 at https://www.cctmath.org/conference.

NCTM Leadership Conference

On July 26-29, 2021, NCTM will host their Leadership Conference as an online event. Speakers include Robert Berry, Mark Freed, Paul Gray, Greg Lakey, Sean Nank, Jessica Stovall, and NCTM President Trena Wilkerson. Registration cost is $63-90, depending on membership level. Although the event is virtual, space is limited.

CML Meetings

The Colorado Math Leaders (CML) met for two hours each month in 2020-2021 and is considering a similar schedule for 2021-2022. Meeting dates and times for the upcoming school year will be worked out in July of 2021.

Math Circles

Rocky Mountain Math Teachers' Circle meets the first Saturday of each month from 8:30 until noon at the University of Colorado Denver. For more information and to RSVP for a meeting, see https://clas.ucdenver.edu/rmmcp/rocky-mountain-math-teachers-circle.

Rocky Mountain Math Students' Circle is a collection of activities, with math circles held in various districts along with math circle summer camps. For more information, see https://clas.ucdenver.edu/rmmcp/rocky-mountain-math-students-circles.

Northern Colorado Math Circles (NoCOMC) provide math circle sessions for both middle school math teachers and middle school students (4th-8th graders). For more information, see http://northerncoloradomathcircles.org/.
