Weld Re-4 School District

Program Description

The Weld Re-4 School District will train relevant personnel, including designees as needed, to evaluate principals, teachers and special service providers utilizing the Colorado State Model Educator Evaluation process, tools and resources. This includes an overview of requirements for each type of personnel, the logistics and process of actual scoring each rubric for professional practices, use of inter-rater agreement activities, calculation of measures of student learning, and internal district requirements and deadlines. The discussion of effective feedback for staff w ill include a variety of resources to use based on previous learning from leadership in the district, including but not limited to: Visible Learning, Leverage Leadership, Cognitive Coaching and Instructional Rounds in Education. The resources utilized will emphasize three main values of our district:

  1.  A focus on conversations that lead to more effective instructional practices 
  2.  Clear emphasis on student learning during observations and conversations
  3.  Using previous learning to continuously reflect and improve
