Write Edit Think 1/12/16 Write. Edit. Think. shall create twelve stories based on the practice of educating students throughout the State of Colorado.
Two Hills CPAs 2/8/16 The purpose of this contract is to hire Two Hills to complete a privacy audit of data collection at CDE.
American Institute for Research 5/22/15 The purpose of this agreement is to provide AIR with data to evaluate the extent in which the integration initiative, designed to support the implementation of major reforms aimed to improve college readiness, has improved student growth in grantee districts relative to non-grantee districts in Colorado.
Colorado Department of Human Services and Early Childhood Programs 06/07/2016 CDE will share student and educator data with the Colorado Department of Human Services and Early Childhood programs for the purposes of conducting program analysis to understand a child's access to early education services and supports. Data will be used to demonstrate concurrent enrollment.
Douglas County School District-HOPE 4/24/15 The purpose of this agreement is to ascertain the impact of enrollment in HOPE online academy on student achievement. The reason this agreement between the CDE and the Local Education Agency required a data sharing agreement in this instance is because the district will be collecting information on students who are not current students of the district. For example, the students could have graduated or transitioned to another district since attending Douglas County School District.
Sarie Ates-Patterson 6/18/15 Sarie Ates-Patterson with the University of Denver is conducting research to ascertain the impact of student enrollment in the Colorado Preschool Program or Preschool Special Education programs.
The Education Trust 8/14/15 The Education Trust is conducting data analysis and modeling for and on behalf of the State to examine how different decisions regarding a) student groupings and b) indicators used to measure achievement affect the extent to which school accountability ratings reflect the academic outcomes of all students.

Mathematica Policy Research Inc.

12/31/14

Mathematica is conducting research on behalf of the state to determine how KIPP schools at all levels affect student achievement relative to other conventional public schools.

University of Virginia (UVA)

11/20/14

The University of Virginia is conducting research on behalf of the state to determine the impact of Core Knowledge Charter Schools.

WIDA

9/29/14

(Amendment 3)

CDE selected ACCESS for ELLs English language test as an evaluation measure to meet CDE’s and Colorado’s LEAs’ Title I and III requirements. CDE joined the Wisconsin Center for Education Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (WIDA) consortium in order to acquire the annual administration of ACCESS for ELLS and related evaluation services.

Pearson

(Amendment 3)

CDE has contracted with Pearson to receive the required services for development, administration and scoring and reporting of science and social studies for the Colorado summative and alternate assessments and with the option to add ELA and Math.

Dept. of Corrections

9/24/14

Colorado K-12 students are incarcerated in Department of Corrections. CDE and DOC entered into an interagency agreement to share data for the purposes of conducting educational studies to develop, validate or administer predictive tests, administer student aid programs, or improve instruction and to audit federal or state supported education programs or comply with federal legal requirements that relate to those education programs.

Diploma Sender

The purpose of this MOU is to provide all Colorado General Educational Development testing program documentation. Under this MOU, DiplomaSender receives, manages, secures and stores GED test data for all series of GED tests for the purpose of providing comprehensive secure document services on behalf of CDE which owns the records, authorizes the credential.

Colyar

The purpose of this contract is to provide a hosted off-the-shelf child nutrition claims system using web-based technology to provide an automated, integrated food and child nutrition program claims management system.

Teaching Strategies (TS) Gold

7/17/14

Teaching Strategies GOLD is an assessment tool available for districts to use to meet Colorado Preschool Program requirements and/or school readiness requirements. The tool is based on 39 research-based objectives that include indicators of school success and is aligned with the Colorado Academic Standards. The state maintains a contract with Teaching Strategies GOLD to (1) provide professional development for Colorado teachers using the assessment tool and (2) provide authorized access, when specifically requested and granted by districts, to the local program for technical assistance support for local programs

National Center for the Improvement of Educational Assessment, Inc.

7/16/14

The purpose of the contract is to allow the NCIEA support the work of the Education Accountability Act of 2009, continue to support the Colorado Growth Model.

(Amendment 2)

The purpose of this contract is to implement the use of an early literacy assessment tool that teachers may use to conduct real-time assessments of the reading skill levels of students enrolled in kindergarten through third grade and based on the assessment results generate intervention plans and materials.

Colorado Department of Higher Education

5/13/2014 CDE and CDHE entered into an agreement to share data for the purposes of conducting educational studies to develop, validate, or administer predictive tests, administer student aid programs, or improve instruction and to audit state or federal supported education programs or comply with federal legal requirements that relate to those programs.
