Description: Teasing/bullying among youth has been on the rise in recent years, and tends to be particularly problematic during adolescent years. This seminar will help you Identify the differences between complex forms of bullying among youth. You will be given concrete strategies derived from the widely popular UCLA PEERS® evidence-based social skills program for teens and young adults for handling teasing, physical bullying, cyber bullying, and rumors/gossip for peer-rejected youth. Within the framework of solid research evidence about what works and what doesn’t work socially, attendees will be given easy-to-use strategies to assist young people with peer conflict and rejection.
At the end of this seminar, participants will be familiar with:
- Handling teasing
- Handling physical bullying
- Handing cyber-bullying
- Minimizing rumors and gossip
