Joseph Shaw

Biography

Principal at Warren Tech for the past 11 years.  Prior to coming to Colorado, he worked as a principal and assistant principal in Southern CA.  His education career has been in Career Technical Education (CTE).  He has done consulting for the State of California, Province of Alberta, Nebraska school districts, and many visitors from foreign countries interested in academic integration within CTE programs.  He has presented CTE program and academic integration at national and international conferences. He taught Culinary Arts for 7 years and prior to entering into teaching worked as an executive chef and master baker having completed two apprenticeship programs in Canada.  

His school was the first in Colorado to work with NASA to design and produce flight ready hardware for the Space Shuttle and Orion programs.  In addition, his school has had experiments go to the International Space Station and was one of 13 schools in the country to receive the HP Innovations I n Education grants.
